Just two days until that gloriousmorning.I imagine to say it won’t be soboring.
I’ve wrapped, and I’ve cooked, I’vedecorated and looked,For that perfect wine to be sosublime.
Bathrooms all scrubbed, roomshave been cleaned,For family is coming and it allmust brightly beam.
So with little left to do Ipatiently wait,With a glass of Pinot Grigio forthe day I know with fate.
Will bring all its chaos, packages here packages there.Who gave the slippers, or betteryet Uncle George his new fake hair.
The kitchen will be bustling withGrandma and Aunt Jo.I’m staying out of the way withmy bottle of Merlot.
The kids running around inendless circles. The cat and the dog hide as tonot end up crippled.
Meal on the table, blessing issaid,Then everyone eats, drinks andthen fleds.
It will be back to the toys, thenew gadgets and such,Until the dessert is served and alittle adult punch.
Sparkling champagne along withChatham Hill Christmas White,A toast to family and thenthey’ll be out for the night.
Yes I can see it, can see it soclearly now. Christmas is coming no need to be down.
So I raise my favorite glass of Chatham Hillwine. For soon will come a most joyfuloccasion and all will be fine.
